Source of my business

21 Feb

The title is supposed to say busy-ness, not business, but I don’t know how to differentiate between the two.

Anyway.  The reason why my car is the last one to leave work most days:

I am planning a trip to take 22 students from my school to NASA.  We are going to the Jonson Space Center in Houston, TX.

Its been pretty tough.  Not only is planning for the trip a part-time job in and of itself, but I definately feel the emotional pressure and stress of taking people’s money and promising the trip of a lifetime to a group of 8th graders (some of whom have never been out of Southern CA) and knowing that I still can’t actually guarentee any such thing.

We have to raise $17,300 to make the trip a reality or we don’t go.  So far we have about half and we have a month left to get all our funds in.

We are hosting a spaghetti dinner night and silent auction at my school and then the students are going to sell raffle tickets to which the grand prize is $500 toward any Carnival Cruise.

I am praying hard. I know God owns the cattle on a thousand hills and can do anything.  I am asking Him to do this too.

Would you please pray for us?

That’s so cool! When are the fundraisers? I’ll try to go and give my support.
