I went for another run today.
My new, amazing, fairly expensive shoes are giving me a blister. Originally I thought it was from when we went dancing but it came back after my run.
It is really amazing that something so small can almost keep you from exercising.
I think I have run on them too much to take them back. What do I do?
Bright side … cute pedi!
Your toes are pretty amazing. I soak my feet in epsom salt. It helps them heal quicker. Maybe try doubling up on socks. Don’t let a blister stop you! If the shoes really aren’t working, I’d bite the bullet and buy a new pair. Give the others to an organization or someone who needs shoes.
Blisters come from heat, from friction, as your foot moves back and forth slightly inside the shoe. When you run do you wear one pair of socks or two?
First put on one pair of thin, slippery socks, something like nylons work great. Then your main socks. The slick inner sock allows your foot to move as normal but it is the inner sock rubbing against the main sock not your skin. Friction is down and so is the heat. Can’t take away a blister but should prevent new ones.
becca where did you buy the shoes? if you bought them at a Nike store you can go with your reciept and try to return the used shoes. no guarantees but worth the try. i work there hint hint. in ontario mills for future reference.
