This Week Was Good

1 Sep

My first week of school actually went really well.  I have a great class my last period of the day which is good ’cause it doesn’t leave a bad taste in my mouth about the entire day.  When you end a day bad, it makes you feel like the whole day was bad.

Teaching is a roller-coaster.  Some days you love it, other days you wonder what you did with your life.  You think: I went to school for how long and got my Masters for this?  Anyone out there feeling me?  This week was a “love it” week but my voice is SOOO tired from talking too much.

Link this to blog any teachers you know.

How was your first week of school?

My first week of school was alright. Teaching seniors is much different than teaching freshmen. Next week will be our fourth week back (I’ve been in school since the middle of August).
I’m in the same boat…I got my master’s to teach who? I spent an additional how many years in the classroom to be confined with state standards?
    Hmmm….when’s Christmas break?

Its really sad when the first week back you are already counting until the next break. But…. I have to admit that I’ve been guilty of it too. Suprisingly, though, I didn’t do that at all this week. Why have you been in school since August? See you at church.

I am contemplating going back to get my masters so I can teach art and get paid instead of getting peanuts for my time. But ugh, the thought of more school…and then confined to a classroom…and teenagers all day. Aggggh!
