Late Night Meeting

30 Aug

The Wii and a Good Time            Among the many hats I wear, I also help lead the college group at my church. These are the girl leaders that I meet with weekly (save 1 who was missing) and I guess you could say I disciple them, but they don’t really need me. They are amazing.

Side note: college students can’t collectively meet before 10:00pm. I’m up late.

I’ll get to it

30 Aug

I’ll Get to It    I am loving the contacts made even the last few days. I just started my blog 5 days ago. I’m linking to a lot of other blogs (apparently your technarati (spelling?) scores matter). I know you can’t have a parentheses inside a parentheses, I teach science, not English. Leave me alone.

Anyway, I want to contact everyone eventually and post on all your blogs, but I am finding out quickly that this new world is eating up a lot of my time.

I am sitting here on my couch posting when there is laundry to be folded all around me.

I just know my husband is going to come home any minute and wonder what I’ve been doing since I got home from school.

Anyone else have the same problem?

Need Blogging Help

29 Aug

I’ve already had a few people post on my blog that I would like to respond to.  How do I do that?  If I just respond to a comment, will they see it, or will that just show up on my own comments.

Help appreciated.

2 Days late, but whatever

Lesley Mann

29 Aug

I’m still figuring out a lot of this blog thing.  But I had my first contact from someone old school!!!

It was awesome!!!!

Lesley Mann, as in People’s Church, moved to San Fran, fantastic quilter, Lesley Mann?  Was that you?  I don’t think you have a blog so I am not sure how to respond back to you.  Hope you see this.

Off the Hook

27 Aug

Thats what church was tonight.  I know that saying may date me just a bit, but thats the only thing I can think of right now.  I go to a freaking amazing church and am so incredibly blessed to be a part of leading them in worship.  Tonight was our worship pastor, my good friend, Carlos’, last night at Sandals Church.  I was blown away by the response from our church.  Although we are all so sad to see him go, I have never seen such a commitment from a congregation when leadership changes.  I was holding things together pretty well until I looked at his wife Heather in the front row.  I love those guys.

So what’s (did I do use my apostrophy correct, Neal?) in store for Sandals worship?  A community of people who need God coming together to continue to create authentic worship for anyone who wants it.

I love my church

My First Time…..

26 Aug

…blogging.  My first time blogging.  What were you thinking?  I just started a blog tonight with the help of my friend  He’s been bragging tonight about how many links he has and Hale-yeah is jealous that whittakerwoman has more links on other blogs than he does.  My husband is now the only one in the room without a blog and he is sitting sadly without a computer while the rest of us type away.  So…. now that I have a blog, this will be my new public diary.  I have entered a world that I am excited about.
