We went out of town this weekend for a retreat for the leaders of the college group. We hiked, played games, ate way too much. It was awesome. Pics would have been nice, I know, but I have a really bad habit of taking my camera places and then not using it.
So it is now Sunday afternoon. After having a full day on Saturday, then leading worship, I am totally wiped. Somewhere I’ll find the energy to do it for one more service this evening.
But, nonetheless, I took the amazing opportunity to babysit the Whittaker kids while Heather ran a last minute errand. They are leaving for Georgia tomorrow. Anything I can do to hang out with this family before tomorrow, I’ll take it. I am going to miss them so much.

I don’t even know if I am doing this right, but thought I would try on my own before I call your dad. It was great to hear about your weekend! We also were gone. We went to Pismo to celebrate our anniversary and had a fun time–it just wasn’t long enough! We took our bikes over there and took a long ride yesterday (long for me and my knee), about 10-12 miles. We had a nice dinner on the water and it cost us $105 plus tip! I had to have lobster at the coast! Anyway, we left early this morning because we felt we had to help with set-up for our Sunday School potluck and Dad wanted to participate in the “Mexico report” to the class. anyway, we’re home, ready to go to the grocery store, then hope I can come home and find some replies to my appeal for a tennis sub for Tuesday morning’s match! I’m captain so have “the dirty work” to do.
Just wanted you to know I try hard to keep tabs on you ’cause I love you!

I love busy weekends all the way up until Monday afternoon when I am asking myself why did I do so much. I hope you can find times of rest in the near future, it soundslike you have a login your plate.
